The Highview Condominium II Board of Managers is currently having cracks in the concrete slabs, that make up the garage ceiling/lobby level floor, evaluated by engineering firms to determine the severity of the cracks and to determine if repairs are required.  

In November 2021 New York City instituted Local Law 126 which requires periodic inspections of all NYC parking structures every 6 years.

The first cycle began on January 1, 2022 and includes community districts 1 through 7 in Manhattan. This cycle ends on 12/31/23.

The second cycle runs from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025 and includes Manhattan Community Districts 8 through 12 and all Brooklyn Community Districts.

The third cycle begins January 1, 2026 and runs through December 31, 2027. This cycle includes all Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island Community
Districts. During this period our building will be required to hire a NYS licensed and registered professional engineer to inspect our garage and file a report with the Department of Buildings documenting the results of the inspection.
